There’s nothing better than a warm, gooey cookie fresh out of the oven, especially when it combines chocolate and peanut butter!🍪

  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted & browned)
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract (or imitation vanilla)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Reese’s peanut butter chips

Optional toppings: extra chocolate chips, sea salt, or crumbled cookies like Biscoff.

  1. Preheat: Preheat your oven to 370°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brown the butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns lightly brown and smells nutty. Let the browned butter cool slightly.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the cooled browned butter with both sugars until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, stirring until you have a thin mixture.
  4. Add the dry ingredients: Mix in the flour, salt, and baking soda until a dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky, add a bit more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
  5. Add the chips: Fold in the chocolate and peanut butter chips.
  6. Shape & bake: Scoop the dough into balls of your preferred size and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes, keeping a close eye on them. Larger cookies will need more time.
  7. Cool & Decorate: Once the edges are golden brown and the centers are set, remove the cookies from the oven. Let them rest on the baking sheet for a minute before transferring them to a cooling rack. Top with extra chips, sea salt, or crumbled biscoff cookies.

Enjoy these cookies with a glass of milk!
