This juicy quesadilla burger combines all your favorite burger toppings, but swaps the bun for a tortilla! Using lean ground beef and a low-carb tortilla, it’s a lighter alternative, but still packed with flavor. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or anytime you’re craving a yummy burger. 🍽️

For the burger patties:

  • 8.5 oz 93% lean ground beef
  • 1 low carb tortilla (I used Mission Carb Balance)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1/ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp lite soy sauce

Optional toppings:

  • Lettuce
  • Red onion
  • Caramelized onion
  • Low fat shredded cheddar
  • 1 slice provolone cheese
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 tbsp burger sauce (I used Chick- fil-A sauce)

  1. Prep the patties: In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, mustard, soy sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Shape into two thin patties.
  2. Prep the toppings: Slice the red onion, dice the white onion for caramelizing, and wash the lettuce.

  1. Cook bacon: In a skillet, cook bacon. Keep the bacon fat in the pan—it will be used to cook the patties.
  2. Cook patties: Add patties to the skillet and cook through, about 10–15 minutes. Place the provolone cheese on top toward the end of cooking to melt.
  3. Caramelize onions: While patties cook, add diced onions to the skillet and caramelize until golden and soft.

  1. Assemble: On the tortilla, start with a layer of cheese, then add patties, your favorite toppings, and sauce. Toast in the skillet until the tortilla is golden and the cheese is melted. Serve with fries or chips and enjoy!
