As someone with an obsession for the peanut butter and chocolate combo, these cookies have been one of my go-to cozy treats lately. They’re soft, a little chewy, and the browned butter gives them a deep flavor that combines perfectly with the peanut butter. If you’re a peanut butter and chocolate person like me, these are definitely worth baking. 💛

Here’s how to make it:
- Preheat oven Preheat your oven to 370°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brown the butter: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until it turns lightly brown and smells nutty. Let the browned butter cool slightly.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled browned butter with both sugars until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until you achieve a thin, cohesive mixture.
- Mix the peanut butter: Stir in the peanut butter until fully incorporated.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients: Mix in the flour, salt, and baking soda until a dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky, add a bit more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
- Add the chips: Fold in the chocolate chips. Be generous for extra gooeyness!
- Shape & bake: Scoop the dough into balls of your preferred size and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes, keeping a close eye on them. Larger cookies will need more time.
- Cool & decorate: Once the edges are golden brown and the centers are set, remove the cookies from the oven. Let them rest on the baking sheet for a minute before transferring them to a cooling rack. Top with extra chips or sea salt!
Enjoy these cookies with a glass of milk!
