Bye March! Hello Spring 🌻

Hi everyone! 💛

I can’t believe today is the first day of April! I feel like March flew by so quickly.

March for me was filled with this sense of longing to get back to my old routines and habits. With the start of Spring, I found myself reflecting on how I spent the winter months and looking forward to the sunny season.

I don’t want to call it a reset or a “new me.” It’s more so getting back into the habits and routines I once built for myself because I realized how much I was missing them.

I can’t say exactly what it was. Maybe the cold, the lack of sunshine, not going outside as much, or just life in general, but I found myself having low energy, feeling sleepy, not having my usual bright mood, and not fully enjoying the same routines I used to love. So I thought what better time to ease back into it than Spring and sunshine! ☀️

Some of the things I’ve been working on:

  • Correcting my sleep schedule  – no more staying up past midnight! I’m still working on this one haha 😅
  • Rebalancing my meals — as much as I love rice, pasta, and bread, I hate to admit they make me feel bloated sometimes 😭 so I’m working on adding more veggies and fruits while still enjoying what I love

And this is the biggest one for me…

  • Reprioritizing movement in my days

This one has been huge. Not jumping back into working out 6 times a week, but doing something more realistic for where I’m at right now like 3 or 4 times a week. I’m focusing on strength, mobility, and just finding that enjoyment in movement again.

I’ve been doing the Caroline Girvan 30 Day Iron Series at home (my favorite fitness channel!). I’ve followed her workouts for about two years, but I’ve never actually completed a full challenge and  I would just repeat videos I liked.

So completing this challenge now feels like a big step for me. It’s about about getting back into discipline, movement, and pushing myself in a way I used to love.

And now… something a little more fun! ✨

Ann Arbor has honestly become one of my mom and I’s favorite places. There’s so much to do, so much good food to try, and we always end up walking a lot when we go!

The highlight of this trip for me was trying Ondo Bakery — a cute little Korean bakery right near U of M’s North Campus.

My favorite was the Biscoff croissant. I’m usually not a cream filling person, and I honestly only got it because I thought it would make a cute picture 😂 but I was sooo surprised. I actually loved it! I can’t wait to go back because next time I’m literally getting three.

I also stopped at The Kitchen Loft and picked up some cute kitchen gadgets including a heart-shaped mold that I used to make mini heart cookies (you can see the full process on my IG 👀).

Speaking of yummy things… have you checked out my recipes from March yet?

More recipes coming soon. 💛

I’m really excited for April! I’m ready for warmer weather, sunshine, being outside more, and just breathing in fresh air again.

I’m also excited to keep working on my routines and actually feeling the difference it makes.

And… I have two really exciting things I can’t wait to share with you all this month.👀

This little newsletter space is becoming something I really love. Moving forward, this is where I’ll be sharing more of my routines, recipes, day trips, and some exclusive things first 🤍
