chicken & broccoli pasta (3 ingredient creamy sauce)

As a pasta girl this is one of those dinners that I have at least once a week. 😋
It’s cozy, creamy, and so quick to make with a 3 ingredient creamy sauce. This chicken & broccoli pasta is one of those meals that’s comforting and  filling, so it’s perfect for when you want something warm, easy, and satisfying! 🍽️

  • 130g Barilla protein rotini (or pasta of choice)
  • 7 oz boneless skinless chicken tenderloins
  • 130g frozen broccoli
  • 1 cup whole milk 
  • 4 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder

Cooking spray (or olive oil)

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook your protein penne according to package instructions.
  2. Cook the Broccoli: Cook your frozen broccoli (microwave or stovetop) and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Chicken: Wash and season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, spray with cooking spray, and cook the chicken until fully cooked and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. Make the Creamy Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, add the flour and let it cook for a minute. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking to keep it smooth. Let it simmer, then whisk in the Parmesan cheese until thickened. Season with salt to taste.
  6. Combine Everything: Add the cooked pasta and broccoli into the sauce and stir until coated. Slice or add in your chicken and mix together.

Top with extra cheese if you like and enjoy your cozy pasta!
