steak & egg bagels (café at home style)

Ok soooo I have a slight 🤏🏾obsession with steak bagels right now. 

It all started a few weeks ago when I went to brunch with friends and ordered one for the first time. It honestly changed my life. I don’t know if it’s because steak isn’t something I eat very often, or because I’ve never had it on a bagel before, but I could not stop thinking about it days later.

So of course I had to recreate it at home. 🙂‍↔️🤭

These steak and egg bagels have all the cozy café vibes without leaving the house! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or honestly any time of day. 🍽️

For the Steak Mixture

  • 12 oz shaved ribeye steak
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • ½ onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Assembly

  • 4 bagels of choice
  • 4 eggs (or egg whites if preferred)
  • Fat free cheddar cheese
  • Cream cheese (optional)
  1. Dice the peppers and onion.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the peppers and onions until softened.
  3. Add the shaved ribeye to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Cook your eggs however you like! Fried, scrambled, sunny side up, etc.
  5. Toast the bagels until golden brown.
  6. Spread cream cheese on the bagels if using. Top with the steak mixture, egg, and cheddar cheese.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy your café at home breakfast!

  • ✨ My favorite little trick is to rub a tiny bit of butter on the bagel while it’s still warm. It makes it extra soft and gives it that shiny café style look.
  • ✨ Use egg whites for extra protein.
  • ✨ Add a slice of pepper jack cheese if you like a little heat.
  • ✨ These are perfect for meal prep! Just store the steak mixture in the fridge and make it fresh throughout the week.
