June was such a fun and busy month for me! Between celebrating my 27th birthday, my 4 year anniversary with my boyfriend, trying new restaurants, and settling into a routine that finally feels realistic, it was definitely an eventful month.
Birthday in Ypsi 🎂
For my 27th birthday, I had to make another trip to Ypsilanti! It’s become one of my favorite little weekend getaways.
My family and I finally tried KPOT because… if you know me, you know I love Korean food. 😂 It definitely lived up to my expectations!
My sister also threw me the most beautiful birthday party. It was full of iridescent decorations, the cutest little details, and honestly felt so me. 💛 If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out my birthday reel over on Instagram!

New Places I Tried 🍜
June also gave me the perfect excuse to cross a few restaurants off my list!
For our anniversary, my boyfriend and I got dressed up and finally tried Cibo Detroit for dinner before heading over to the Candy Bar for drinks afterward. It made for such a fun date night, and you can see more photos from our evening over on my Instagram.
Later in the month, my friends and I ended up on an impromptu lunch date at Ima, and I’m so glad we did! I ordered the spicy chicken karaage bowl with pork bao buns… sooo good. 🤤 I’ll definitely be going back, but next time I have my eye on the yakisoba.

Finding a Routine That Works 🌸
Last month I talked about getting back into routines, and I finally feel like I’ve found what works for me instead of trying to force myself into a schedule I thought I was supposed to have.
Right now, I’m keeping things simple. I’ve been starting my mornings with a 30-minute walk, and Thursdays and Fridays have become my dedicated strength training days since I don’t have my part time work those days. If I can fit another workout in Monday through Wednesday, that’s just a bonus!
That little shift has made such a difference because it’s flexible and actually fits my life. It feels so much more sustainable, and I’ve been enjoying movement again instead of feeling pressured by it.
What’s Next? 👀
I know I’ve been hinting that something exciting is coming… and I promise it’s getting close! 😂
June ended up being packed with celebrations, time with family and friends, and a few new work projects, so some things got pushed back. But I haven’t forgotten!
I’m so excited to share some new ideas I’ve been working on for my socials and content over the next few months, and I can’t wait for you to see them.
